Jewelry Repair in Santa Fe New Mexico

Author: Kyle Abraham Bi | Sunday, November 3, 2024

Do you have a piece of jewelry that you truly love, that’s just sitting in a drawer — crumpled up, and sadly languishing in the darkness? Would you like to wear that jewelry once again, to see it shine gloriously under that beautiful blue New Mexico sky — regardless of whether Mercury is retrograde or not?

If so, then you have come to the right place!

We are artisans, makers, and custom jewelry designers specializing in all types of jewelry repair — in addition to any kind of custom jewelry design you can dream of. Our company has an A+ BBB rating and 240+ five-star ratings on Google — the best Google reviews of any jewelry company in New Mexico.

Best of all: most of our jewelry repairs are completed within a couple of days or less. No waiting for weeks while your jewelry repair is shipped off to who-knows-where.... We totally understand that you want your repair done quickly and correctly. (And YES — all repairs are completed in house!)

One of our jewelers uses a mandrel to check the size of a two tone wedding ring from Reflective Jewelry, before resizing this ring.

Here’s what we can do:

We can increase or decrease the size of your ring, fix a cracked wedding ring, reset missing stones in an engagement ring, rebuild engagement ring prongs, or even duplicate settings or styles to create a new ring design.

Can a jeweler make a ring thinner?  Yes.  Is your wedding band too thick and you want it less thick?  We can do that .  Do you have a gold ring chipped?   Bring it to us.  How much does it cost to repair a ring that was cut off?  Just a simple solder-- maybe $29.  A more complex job — time and materials.

We can also fix a broken clasp on your necklace, pendant, or bracelet, restring a necklace or bracelet (including restringing pearls), or swap out your earring hooks for a more comfortable or secure style. Often, we can also duplicate a missing earring or recreate a lost wedding ring.

And as custom jewelers, we can of course repurpose your old or inherited jewelry into an entirely new heirloom-quality design. Many customers in the Santa Fe, New Mexico area (and far beyond!) have been astonished at our abilities to breathe new life into treasured family jewelry.

We offer complete ring head and setting replacement services. This includes gold, silver, or platinum prong repair.

A jeweler sets a diamond in our Lotus prongs at Reflective Jewelry. This, and the steps that follow, requires a delicate touch.

Resetting stones in an engagement ring, or even checking the prongs for wear-and-tear, is a cinch for our artisan team.

We can replace or change out stones that have fallen out of settings, adjust watch bands, repair or replace clasps or add a safety clasp to an existing bracelet.

This old bracelet, brought in by a customer, needs to be restrung and have the clasp re-attached — no problem for our team of artisan jewelers!

If you have a necklace that looks like this, we can help with restringing or adding a new clasp.

We can restring pearls, or any kind of necklace that you might want to wear. We specialize in metalwork such as soldering, as well as gemstone identification and grading. (We even have a GIA-trained gemologist on staff!)

If you have not had your diamond engagement ring’s prongs checked recently, stop by. Prongs and other settings, over time, wear out. We also offer a free ultrasonic cleaning service with every prong and tip inspection.

An ultrasonic cleaner is used to clean diamond engagement rings and other jewelry. With just a quick dip, your ring will sparkle like new!

Our ultrasonic will make your diamond ring sparkle like new!

If your engagement ring diamond has fallen out, or your ring is missing accent stones of any variety, we can help!

Is your wedding band too thick?  Can a jeweler make a ring thinner?  Or is your ring shank too thin?  Yes, we can sort this out for you.  Fix a gold ring that's chipped?  No problem.  How much does it cost to repair a ring that was cut off?  Just depends on the complexity of the job, but starting, if it's a simple solder joint that just needs to be connected and polished up, starting at $29.

In fact: we can accomplish basically any jewelry repair you might imagine. We can even add engravings to your rings or jewelry — in block or script, and in a variety of fonts.

This video will give you just a taste of the artisan work that goes on in our studio.

When it comes to jewelry repair, our capacities go beyond most other companies. We can alloy gold, cast out new designs that we carve by hand in wax, or even roll out wire from your existing gold or silver to create new ring shanks.

Our wide-ranging skillsets allow us to cater to your individual needs — whether this be altering the clasp on childhood bracelet or upsizing your grandmother’s engagement ring for your upcoming wedding.

these folks really stand by their lifetime guarantee. After several years, my ring needed resizing...twice...to get it right and they were always professional and courteous. Besides, they have the most jaw dropping gorgeous jewelry on the planet.
